Richard L. Quad Present at Bank Director’s Acquire or Be Acquired Conference

NEW YORK, NY, February 8, 2017– Richard L. Quad, Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Griffin’s Financial Institutions Group, presented at Bank Director’s Acquire or Be Acquired Conference held January 29-31, 2017, in Phoenix, AZ.

In the workshop “Pre-Deal Considerations for Public Companies,” Messrs. McCollom and Quad provided a review of key financial and non-financial issues that both buyer and sellers should focus on before considering an acquisition or sale. They discussed the importance of building a strong internal deal team and staff of experienced external advisors while managing expectations of both internal and external constituencies. They also outlined the benefits of understanding your strengths and weaknesses, and offered guidance on building the value of your public company “currency.”

Richard L. Quad is Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Griffin Financial Group’s Financial Institutions Group, where he provides investment banking services to financial institution clients, including sell-side, buy-side, capital markets and related strategic and valuation services.

He has more than 25 years of experience in both investment banking and commercial banking in the Northeast. As a senior investment banker, he has successfully completed over 60 assignments for more than 40 community bank clients including common, convertible, preferred stock and subordinated debt offerings, buy-side, sell-side and FDIC receivership transactions, as well as strategic and general advisory assignments.

Mr. Quad received a B.S., magna cum laude, in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Vermont and an MBA with distinction from Cornell University. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses from FINRA.
