Hauer Custom Manufacturing, Inc. (“Hauer”), based in Douglassville, PA, is a leading chemical contract manufacturer of household and consumable products, including polishes and waxes, conditioners and lotions, air fresheners and toilet bowl cleaners for Sara Lee Corporation.

Hauer’s state of the art facility and production lines are capable of handling health and beauty aid products, household cleaners, soaps, detergents and disinfectants, solid and liquid air fresheners and lavatory care products.

Griffin managed a competitive sale process with companies within Hauer’s industry, private equity firms and family offices, which produced multiple purchase offers, and the Hauer ultimately selected Cosmetic Essence, Inc. (CEI) as purchaser.

Based in Holmdel, NJ, CEI is a leading provider of supply chain management services to the personal care products industry. CEI is an operating subsidiary of Onex Corporation, a diversified Canadian company with global operations in the services, health care, manufacturing and technology industries.
