Mike is a proven leader with over 25 years of successful accomplishments in commercial banking, leveraged finance, loan portfolio management/workouts, investment banking and turnaround management/consulting. His diversified experience includes having served as board member, Chief Restructuring Officer, investment banker, Chief Financial Advisor and/or interim CFO for a wide variety of companies facing various liquidity, financial and operational challenges. Overall, Mike has worked with more than 250 middle market companies assisting clients in special situations with transactional solutions.

Mike began his career with CoreStates Bank, N.A. in its training program in Philadelphia, PA working in middle market and asset-based lending, including loan participations with Congress Financial Corporation. He spent 11 years with FINOVA Capital Corporation where he first focused on underwriting and structuring new loans for acquisitions and turnarounds and ultimately was a Vice President Portfolio Manager responsible for various portfolios of troubled loans of all types and industry specialties. During the last six years with FINOVA, he assisted with the orderly wind down of the portfolio which included complex loan restructurings, bankruptcies and liquidations. In some instances, restructurings included converting debt to equity and selling businesses.

Mike transitioned to Phoenix Management Services, LLC in 2006 where he became President of its investment banking subsidiary, Phoenix Capital Resources, and he ultimately became a shareholder of the firm. While at Phoenix, Mike served as Chief Restructuring Officer, Investment Banker and Financial Advisor for clients requiring new capital or under sale mandates, including Bankruptcy 363 and UCC Article 9 sales. In 2015, Mike became a Board Member of Lane Enterprises, Inc. and in 2016 he was recruited to join Lane Enterprises full time as its VP of Corporate Strategy. Mike continues to serve in those roles.

Mike is a board member of the Secured Finance Network – Philadelphia Chapter (SFNet, formerly Commercial Finance Association) and a long-time member of the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG).
