John A. Lee Named President of Association for Corporate Growth, Philadelphia Chapter

VALLEY FORGE, PA, August 15, 2011 – John A. Lee, Senior Managing Director and head of Griffin’s Commercial Industrial & Services Group, was named President of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Philadelphia Chapter.

ACG is an international organization with 56 chapters dedicated to fostering sound corporate growth, primarily through mergers and acquisitions. ACG’s 14,000 members include professionals from private equity firms, corporations and lenders that invest in middle-market companies, as well as from law, accounting, investment banking and other firms that provide merger and acquisition advisory services. The Philadelphia Chapter is one of the largest and most vibrant ACG chapters, with approximately 500 members and a history of developing innovative content and programming for its members. Mr. Lee provides merger and acquisition advisory services, private placements of debt and equity capital and management buyout advisory services for middle market companies in a wide range of industries. His extensive experience includes sourcing, initiating or managing over 50 investment banking transactions for middle market manufacturing, distribution, services and technology companies.

Prior to joining Griffin, Mr. Lee was a Principal with Horizon Partners Ltd., a private equity investment company that acquires middle market companies in leveraged buyout transactions. Previously he served as a Director with the investment banking arm of Berwind Financial Group, L.P. He has been a featured speaker or co-chair at numerous conferences on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.
