Joe Harenza is one of our founders and has been a principal advisor to companies in connection with the strategic aspects of mergers and acquisitions and capital formation for over 25 years. He has served as the principal outside advisor in more than 300 merger and acquisition transactions to a wide range of businesses in diverse industries, including a number of high profile transactions in the financial institutions, insurance, health care, higher education, asset management, commercial and industrial, service and retail sectors.

On the buy side, he has advised management groups in identifying sponsors and raising the debt and equity necessary to acquire their businesses and in negotiating their equity and compensation packages with the sponsor. On the sell side, he has assisted Boards of Directors, owners and management in understanding their strategic alternatives and in successfully initiating or executing both negotiated and bidded transactions.

He has also advised public companies in connection with unsolicited offers, board destabilization attempts, proxy contests and other non-negotiated takeover attempts, as well as in connection with negotiated and bidded changes in control.

Joe is a former adjunct professor of Securities Regulation at The Dickinson School of Law and a former trustee of The Pennsylvania State University.
